The Line is a Curve

Inspired by Kae Tempest, Jits Van Damme dances a solo about staying on course in a world raging like a constant storm. In a costume that defines her freedom of movement, she seeks solace in the church's acoustics. Jits initially asked me to play the saxophonist on stage, but opted for a solo performance. I wrote five new compositions and took on the complete musical interpretation. The sax becomes breath, rhythm, and counterpart, from whispering keystrokes to expansive melody. Thanks to hetpaleis in Antwerp and OPEK in Leuven.
